Primary School

BST divides primary education into Key Stage 1 (Years 1-2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6).
In both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, students mainly study English, mathematics, science, social studies, computing, history, geography, art, design and technology, religion, music, physical education, and foreign languages (Japanese from Nursery, French from Year 4).
Secondary School (Years 7-11)

BST divides secondary education into Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) and Key Stage 4 (Years 10-11).
Key Stage 3 focuses on deepening and broadening students’ learning, while encouraging their curiosity and interest in different subjects.
Key Stage 4 prepares students for the GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) exams. BST has a curriculum combining both GCSE and its international version, the (I)GCSE.
GCSE, (I)GCSE:
GCSE and (I)GCSE are national exams taken over two years (Years 10-11) with compulsory and elective subjects. In Year 11, students take the final exams. Passing these exams signifies the completion of compulsory education in the UK.
At BST, students taking GCSE and (I)GCSE will select three electives from:
Art
Photography
French
Spanish
Computer Science
History
Geography
Physical Education
Music
Drama
Senior School (Years 12-13)

BST’s Senior School follows the British A-Level system, which serves as both a high school graduation qualification and a university entrance qualification.
A-Level:
A-Level involves studying selected subjects during Years 12 and 13, with students taking a unified exam at the end of Year 13. To enter university, students are required to study at least three subjects, and they can flexibly choose subjects based on their strengths.
BST offers the following A-Level subjects, and students must select at least three:
Biology
Business
Chemistry
Computer Science
Drama
Economics
Literature
Art
French
Mathematics
Mathematics II
Geography
History
Japanese
Music
